Allyson Cook is a certified and licensed massage therapist who is fully insured by the American Massage Therapy Association. From 2000-2002, she attended one of the top massage therapy schools in the country, The Muscular Therapy Institute located in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She has completed over 900 hours of classroom and hands-on practice, including extensive training in anatomy, physiology, pathology, massage technique etc. In addition, Allyson has taken specialized training and is certified to provide services in massage for pregnancy, labor, and the postpartum period. She also has been trained in treating specific shoulder, neck, low back, and thorax injuries. In August 2002, Allyson became nationally certified in therapeutic massage and bodywork. This demonstrates the highest level of professionalism in the field of bodywork.

In addition to the above training, Allyson received her Bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation Services from Springfield College in 1998.

 

 

Diane Welch, LMT

Diane Welch studied at the Polarity Realization Institute, at the Plymouth, Ma campus, and graduated in 2002. Diane is fully insured through Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals and Nationally Certified since 2002. She has been practicing individualized massage therapy for over 14 years here on Martha’s Vineyard. Each session is customized to her client’s needs trusting her intuitive nature and knowledge to guide her through areas of concern. Diane’s interest began with Reflexology. After completing those studies, she wanted to increase her knowledge of anatomy and physiology and decided the best place to do so was at Massage Therapy School. Diane fell in love with the work and stayed to obtain her degree. Since then, she has taken numerous courses, expanding her knowledge and deepening her interest in her work.

 

 


Lucy Benedetto, LMT

Lucy graduated from the New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics in 2016 where she studied Swedish massage as well as a wide range of healing modalities such as deep tissue massage, reflexology, polarity therapy (a form of energy work), pre-natal massage, myofascial release, aromatherapy and more. In 2019 she also took a course in Hawaii to learn the fundamentals of Lomi Lomi massage. Depending on her client’s goals, she will integrate different modalities into her sessions to create a tailored experience. Lucy enjoys blending specific deep tissue work to address chronic pain with a Swedish massage approach that deeply relaxes and uplifts her clients. She has a grounded and soothing energy that she brings to her sessions, and she is passionate about helping people feel better in their bodies - physically and energetically.
